As the years passed, an investigative license was obtained and the same skillset used in genealogical searches was applied in successful searches for and reunions of birthparents and adoptees; missing persons who'd been abducted; runaways and also, still, genealogical research. We've helped hundreds of folks know their family; helped them to know their genetic origins, and to face this life bravely and chin up with pride. Because todays life as compared to the hardships and challenges of many past ancestral lives? For many, there is no comparison. We've reinforced the fact that in this modern and sometimes isolated day and age, that it does indeed take a village. To grow even a single tree. We've reunited living cousins with living cousins even across oceans. Helped folks all over Europe learn what happened to those family members who emigrated hundreds of years ago due to famine, poverty or war. We've reconnected family who were separated here in the States; reunited brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and grandparents... We've saved lives by locating those who went missing not of their own choice and have performed research in order to resolve criminal cases. We've even stumbled upon a cold case while performing simple genealogical research and solved that case, decades after it was closed.
