I am an AWS solution consultant with a focus on - Web Server infrastructure for PHP based systems - Security consulting for small to medium sized teams in the PHP/ MySQL space - Mentoring PHP developers in Software as a Service startups that want to go big and world-wide I have a Master equivalent degree in Computer Science from Darmstadt University in Germany and have worked over 20 years in web application development. For the past 10 years I have worked with Amazon Web Services and have recently completed my certification to be a Certified Solutions Architect (Associate). I enjoy the benefits that Amazon Web Services can give to small and medium sized companies compared to traditional hosting environments. I also enjoy challenging database optimisation projects across query speed optimisation, relational schema challenges and data warehouse scenarios Due to ongoing commitments I'm looking for small to medium sized consulting, development and infrastructure projects or ongoing mentoring arrangements. Common projects include: - Move existing Websites and Software as a Service systems to Amazon Web Services with proven configuration management templates I have developed in Ansible - Review the security across the whole stack of technologies for your PHP application: OWASP security review, company procedures, Web hosting and AWS infrastructure - Review your AWS Bill for cost optimisation opportunities and wastage - Consulting and mentoring on how to move your Software as a Service system to a multi-tenanted infrastructure (all customers in one database) - Website Speed optimisation
