Most growing companies I talk to are already doing plenty of marketing.
They have content going out. Paid running. Emails being sent. Agencies, freelancers, internal people. Usually the problem isn’t that nothing is happening.
It’s that nobody is completely sure what deserves more attention and what probably needs to stop.
That’s the work I tend to come into.
I’ve spent more than 10 years working across D2C, B2B, ed-tech, biotech, and cosmetics. Early in my career, I became the marketing lead for an ed-tech startup and helped build the marketing function from the ground up. Over the five years I was there, the company went from a low six-figure valuation to a majority-stake acquisition at roughly $30M.
Since then, I’ve mostly worked with companies that already have some momentum but need someone senior to step in and make sense of the marketing.
A few examples:
These days, I work mainly as a Fractional CMO and senior marketing strategist.
Usually I’m brought in when the company already has people doing the work, but needs someone to step back, look across everything, and decide what actually matters next.
That might mean changing the acquisition strategy, tightening positioning, helping restructure the team, figuring out where budget should go, or simply telling the company what it can stop spending time on.
My work can touch growth strategy, go-to-market, positioning, acquisition, lifecycle, content, team structure, and agency or vendor direction. It really depends on where the problem is.

If your company has momentum but the marketing feels more complicated than it should, that’s usually where I’m most useful.
