I just wrapped up a project I'm genuinely proud of building the Android infotainment system for BMW. Music, navigation, display — all running on a custom AOSP build I put together from the ground up. It took about 9 months and it's the kind of work that reminds me why I got into this field.

What I actually work on:

Android at the system level — AOSP builds, custom launchers, HAL integration, locked-down OS for kiosks, POS machines, industrial devices, automotive systems. If it runs Android but isn't a phone, I've probably built something like it.

BLE and hardware — I've done a lot of Bluetooth Low Energy work. GATT profiles, custom services, the fun debugging sessions at 2am when the connection drops only on one specific phone model. I know this territory well.

Mobile apps — Android (Java/Kotlin), iOS (Swift), React Native, Flutter. Straightforward stuff, but I build it properly the first time so you're not coming back six months later to fix it.

Backend and web — Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, React. APIs, eCommerce, CRM, whatever the product needs behind the scenes.

The kind of client I work well with:
Someone who has a real problem and wants it solved properly. Startups, hardware companies, product teams. People who value communication over coffee-and-disappear developers.

A few things I'll tell you upfront that others won't:
I'll tell you if your timeline isn't realistic. I'll tell you if there's a simpler way to build what you're describing. And if I'm not the right fit for your project, I'll tell you that too — I'd rather lose the job than take it and do it badly.
