About
I help businesses build AI-powered apps, workflow automations, dashboards, and operating systems, then provide the fractional CTO leadership to make sure the right thing gets built the right way.
I’m Robert Brooks, founder of MVP.dev and PackFoundry.app. I have 30 years of software architecture, product development, automation, AI implementation, and technical leadership experience across startups, SMBs, and enterprise environments.
Most clients come to me because they need more than a developer. They need someone who can understand the business problem, design the technical path, build or lead the implementation, and help them avoid expensive mistakes.
That may mean building a custom app, installing an AI workflow pack, automating finance or operations, designing a business operating system, rescuing a stalled project, or stepping in as a fractional CTO to guide the whole technology roadmap.
I’m best for clients who need one or more of these outcomes:
1. AI Automation and Workflow Systems
I design and build practical automation across the tools your business already uses, including CRMs, accounting systems, spreadsheets, email, project management tools, internal databases, and APIs.
2. App Builds and Internal Tools
I build workflow apps, SaaS platforms, dashboards, approval systems, customer portals, operator consoles, admin panels, and AI-enabled internal tools around how your business actually runs.
3. AI Workflow Packs and Business Operating Systems
Through MVP.dev and PackFoundry.app, I help companies start with one high-ROI workflow, prove value, and expand into a governed AI operating layer across finance, sales, operations, support, reporting, and delivery.
4. Supervised AI Agents
I build scoped AI agents that operate inside defined business rules, with approval gates, audit logs, dry-run modes, escalation logic, and human oversight where needed.
5. Fractional CTO and Technical Leadership
About 25 percent of my clients use me as a fractional CTO in addition to the implementation work I do for them. I help with technical strategy, architecture, vendor oversight, team direction, product planning, hiring guidance, roadmap decisions, and executive-level technology leadership.
6. Software Rescue and Technical Audits
When projects are stuck, unclear, over budget, or poorly built, I can assess the code, architecture, team process, and delivery path, then create a practical recovery plan.
Common projects include:
* AI workflow automation
* Custom app development
* SaaS and MVP builds
* Internal tools and admin dashboards
* Business operating systems
* Finance ops automation
* QuickBooks, CRM, and reporting workflows
* Executive dashboards and operating views
* AI agents with human approval flows
* API integrations
* Document and email processing
* Fractional CTO advisory
* Technical audits and software rescue
Core tools and platforms include OpenAI, Claude, Codex, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Windsurf, Supabase, n8n, Make, Zapier, Airtable, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, React, Node.js, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, APIs, RAG, MCP, and vector databases.
What you get working with me:
* Clear technical direction
* Practical AI implementation, not hype
* Senior architecture and product judgment
* App builds tied to real business workflows
* Strong defaults around approvals, auditability, and human oversight
* Fast identification of bottlenecks and bad assumptions
* Fractional CTO guidance when your project needs leadership, not just labor
* A realistic roadmap based on business ROI, budget, and execution risk
Send me a message with one of these three things:
* the app or workflow you want built
* the business process you want automated
* the technical decision, roadmap, or project problem you need help with
I’ll tell you the smartest next step, the likely risks, and whether this should start as a workflow pack, an audit, a prototype, a custom app build, or a fractional CTO engagement.
