I help companies design, prototype, and troubleshoot complex hardware systems, especially where mechanical, electrical, thermal, and control systems must work together reliably in demanding real-world environments. I am a former Head of R&D at Northrop Grumman Marine Systems, with experience in turbines, generators, electric motors, rotating machinery, and large-scale power systems. My work also includes combustion systems, battery systems, power electronics, embedded hardware, and full product development from concept through working prototype. I’m often brought in when a project needs senior-level engineering direction to move from concept to a working system efficiently. I studied engineering and business at Stanford University and have 20+ years of experience working with venture-backed startups, helping connect engineering decisions to product development, scaling, and execution.
