The reason your AI project is stuck probably isn't the AI. It's the seam between the model, the data feeding it, and the app around it, and that seam is exactly where most engineers tap out, because they only do one of the three.

That seam is where I'm strongest. I'm a senior engineer who works across AI, data, and full-stack, and the jobs I get pulled into are the ones where a smart idea or a half-built prototype needs to become something real that holds up with actual users on it.

A few things ten years of this teaches you. The hard part of an AI agent isn't the model, it's the termination logic that stops a loop before it burns your budget at 2am, and the line between what the agent does on its own and what a human sees first. The hard part of a data project isn't the pipeline, it's that five systems each define "customer" differently, so the CEO asks one question and gets five answers. And the hard part of inheriting a six-year-old codebase is that the reasons live in one person's head, which is why the original estimate triples the moment you start. I design around all three because I've been burned by all three.

What I actually do:

AI / ML — LLM and agent development (tool-use agents, production RAG over your data, AWS Bedrock, Claude, OpenAI, LangChain), classical and predictive ML, forecasting, reinforcement learning for sequential decisions, model development, fine-tuning, and AI integration into existing products. Built to production standards, not notebook demos.

Data — warehouse and lakehouse architecture, ETL/ELT, dbt, BigQuery, SQL and NoSQL, data modeling, and the analysis and BI layer (Power BI, dashboards, reporting executives actually trust). The full path from raw data to a number someone can make a decision on.

Full-stack — React, Next.js, Node.js, Python (Django, FastAPI), AWS, Docker, CI/CD. MVPs that ship in weeks, enterprise systems that don't fall over, and takeovers of code nobody documented.

The common thread: I build the thing that runs on Monday and still runs the Monday after, not the demo that wins the meeting and breaks in week three.
